This week Facebook is releasing a messenger app specifically designed for children. The app was designed to try to limit kids contact with bullies and strangers. This works by connecting each kid account to their parent's account. After this, if the child wants to talk to someone, the parent must approve of the connection. Artifical intelligence will scan conversations and let parents know o any harmful activity.
I think this is a great app for children. I remember it took months of prodding my parents to let me get a Facebook account. If this existed when I was a kid I know my parents would have been way less stressed about who I'm talking to and what I'm talking about. What do you think about the new app?
